Crit is looking for a Research Analyst and Media Monitor for a multinational communication company.

JOB SUMMARY/ DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

With the Monitoring and Evaluation Team - produce a daily report on the major news stories emanating from Libya and the North African region, with analysis. 

The daily report covers key implications of reporting, threat analysis, evaluation of the company’s actions, monitoring of relevant local and international media and social media reports and a summary of the main local/international media reporting relating to the strategic context. The report is produced in both English and Arabic.  

  • Conduct research and compile data for use by colleagues, contractors and clients.   
  • Undertake any necessary research tasks and open source due diligence of interest to the employer.   
  • Undertake AR-ENG and ENG-AR translation when required.   

Media Monitor   

Produce reports on media responses to social media posts that the firm has created, detailing engagement and response. 

Monitor social media pages for coverage of the client and other topics relevant to the firm. 

Identify hostile disinformation networks using software and manual analysis; analyse strategic threat posed by disinformation narratives. The Monitoring and Evaluation Team (MET) plays a crucial role in the firm’s day-to-day operations and helps to inform longer-term strategy and planning
