Electrify Network is a green-tech startup that acts as a software provider of a blockchain based peer-to-peer electricity trading platform, a hardware provider of smart hubs allowing a better decentralized energy management system, and an electricity provider in areas with low electrification rates.  

We are looking for an IoT Firmware and Embedded software engineer.

Description:

• Design, develop, code, test and debug system software.

• Document procedures, scripts and programs.

• Analyze and maintain firmware on current IoT products.

• Evolve the line of product augmenting their capabilities via software.

• Support software QA and optimize performance

• Interface with hardware design and development

• Assess third party and open source software

• Working on fast prototyping of products to test ideas.

Our ideal candidate:

• Master’s in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering - although other degrees will

• be considered with relevant work experience

• You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in embedded development

• You have experience in one or more IoT or embedded industries (i.e. home automation, asset tracking, smart utilities, etc.)

• You have experience in rapid prototyping and ideation, ideally spanning sensors and microcontroller systems / embedded devices.

• You will have a proven understanding of C/C++ and a proficiency in a scripting language (i.e. Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl)

• You should have an experience (MQTT; HTTP; TCP-IP)

• You have an understanding of low-level embedded software development. This understanding can be using embedded Linux.

• You have an excellent problem solving skills.

• You have excellent communication skills: writing well, speaking well, and listening well
