Purpose of role :

The Export Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing the export operations of a company, ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant shipment of goods to international markets. 

This role includes supervising the export team, managing documentation, ensuring adherence to international trade laws and regulations, coordinating with freight forwarders and customs officials, and maintaining strong communication with customers and internal departments.

Key responsabilities : 

• Supervise and lead the export team to ensure timely and accurate processing of all export orders.

• Coordinate with production, sales, and logistics teams to plan and schedule international shipments.

• Ensure all export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, etc.) is accurate and compliant with destination country requirements.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international trade regulations, including customs laws, incoterms, and export control policies 

• Manage relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and other third-party logistics providers.

• Monitor shipment status and address any delays or issues in transit to ensure on-time delivery.

• Ensure proper export classification of goods and compliance with licensing requirements.

• Conduct audits and maintain records of export transactions in line with company policy and legal standards.

• Continuously assess and improve export processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

• Coordinate with finance/accounts for invoicing, letters of credit, and payment terms related to export shipments.

• Handle customer service issues related to international deliveries, including tracking and damage claims.

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

• 3–5 years of experience in export operations, including supervisory experience.

• Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures, customs regulations, and documentation requirements.

• Familiarity with ERP systems and export software (SAP  or equivalent).

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to resolving shipping issues.

• Knowledge of English language 

• working experience in automotive industries will be desirable
