About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electronic Engineer to join our team and help us develop the next generation of electric vehicle chargers. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing new charger products, as well as working with our software team to integrate our chargers with our software platform.

Responsibilities

  • Design modular EVSE charging station with AC and DC. (SECC)
  • Modify existing hardware designs and modelized them.
  • Design test equipment and EV simulators.
  • Working closely with firmware / embedded developers.
  • Research and evaluation of alternative components for BOM optimization regarding price and availability for hardware designs.
  • Support multiple variants in the same hardware design.
  • Test and analyze for certifications. (EMI/EMC, CE, FCC, etc...)

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Hardware design using Altium.
  • Good English skills (written and spoken)
  • Experience with small form factor and multi-layered 4+ designs.
  • Experience with high-power PCB designs.
  • Experience with hardware designs including mixed digital and analog signals as well as RF circuitry
  • Deep understanding of the basic electronic components' behaviors.
  • Deep understanding of the PCB fabrication steps.
  • Deep understanding and experience with the PCB design cycle.
  • Familiar with advanced electronic lab equipment like Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal generators.
  • Familiar with the basic MCU peripherals (PWM, ADC, DAC, Timers/Counters, Interrupts, RTC, WDT, DMA)
  • Familiar with the basic embedded communication protocols (UART, I2c, SPI, CAN, Modbus, USB-CDC, RS232, RS485, RS422)
  • Familiar enough with embedded software development to be able to support the embedded software team and answer their questions.
  • Familiar with IP rating, heat dissipation, and isolation.
