Description de l'annonce:

This role will provide expertise in quality assurance and control within a manufacturing environment, implementing strong quality practices and utilizing advanced quality methods and statistical tools.

The primary goal is to consistently meet the needs of both the business and customers, specifically focusing on new product introductions and sustaining manufacturing processes. This entails leveraging core tools and standards prevalent in the automotive industry, along with fulfilling requirements in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).

The role will require to:

  • Manage quality deliverables for introduction of new products, such as PPAP requirements
  • Collaboration with Manufacturing and Production Engineering on the creation and maintenance of CP (control plans), MSA (measuring systems analysis), Process flow, PFMEA (Process Failure Mode & Effect Analysis), etc.
  • Produce and maintain PPAP documentation to automotive standards, as required
  • Lead and support, where required, in implementing and maintaining Lean Manufacturing principles, e.g. 5S, VSM, SMED, Kaizen, OEE, Error Proofing, Gemba, JIT, TPM, etc.
  • Managing and supporting the training of quality and statistical tools e.g. Cause-and-effect diagram, Process Flow/Maps, SPC, DOE, MSA, Minitab, etc.
  • The introduction and set up of purchasing, inventory and manufacturing control plans
  • Reporting of quality KPIs, such as DPU, Yields, PPM, CoPQ/Scrap and NC
  • Coordinating the resolution of internal and product incidents and problems, supporting as required the resolution of customer issues and complaints
  • Supporting the generation and maintenance of continual improvement plans
  • Training and qualification of technicians, auditors or inspectors (what they’re called in production?)
  • Implementation and maintenance of manufacturing quality controls, e.g. concession, process change control, workmanship standards, stop ship and stop production, CSR notifications, etc.
  • Coordinating the product and process audits according to the quality management system scheduling
  • Maintaining the quality related business management system documentation and controls, e.g. procedures (BP), instructions (WI, BI), templates (TE), etc.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic quality professional with extensive knowledge and expertise gained from working in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the automotive or an equivalent demanding industry. They should have a strong background in implementing world-class quality best practices and utilising advanced quality tools and statistical methodologies. This individual should demonstrate excellent teamwork, problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and a proactive approach to driving continual improvement and change within the organisation. Moreover, the candidate should exhibit a readiness and willingness to learn, acquire new skills, and embrace fresh challenges. Proficiency in spoken and written English and French is essential for this role. Availability for international travel is also a requirement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Engineering diploma or Quality Management specialist with equivalent degree
  • Minimum 2 years of experience within an equivalent function in an accredited IATF 16949 automotive company
  • Six Sigma green or black belt certified, core automotive tools, such as APQP, MSA, SPC, PPAP, FMEA
  • PPAP submissions
  • Working experience in automotive product, process and layered audits
  • Technical knowledge of reading drawings, geometric tolerances, measurement and testing equipment
  • Working experience utilising statistical concepts, such as basic data science, data system building, data analysis, interpretations, data visualisation. Use of Minitab for SPC, MSA and capability studies, etc.
  • Completion of ISIR
  • Experience in utilising problem-solving tools, such as 8D, Fault tree analysis (FTA), DMAIC, 5M, 5Why, etc.
  • Mastery of software programs – Minitab, Qualipro, Keywatch, IFS, Cognidox, Microsoft (MS) Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel
