TASKS
We consider Sourcing Specialists as experts who help make the sourcing process for our corporate clients and SME’s more efficient. They do this through building relationships with suppliers (mainly in China), negotiating cost and MOQ, and developing agreements that ultimately help our client to become more profitable and to achieve their import projects. The Sourcing Specialist will work in total coordination on a daily basis with the sourcing sales that is in link with client’s side, through a wide variety of industries and settings.
Duties and responsibilities (not limited to):
•Identify suppliers of goods related to the inquiries sent by the sales. Need to be used to excel on marketplace like Alibaba or others.
•Negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, MOQ, deadlines, expectations, customizations, etc.
•Liaise with suppliers and sales regarding updates and details of goods.
•Organize the QC inspection with our partners after the deposit and before production has been finished.
•Ask for PL and PI in order to invoice the client in cooperation with the sales side.
•Analyze invoices to ensure accuracy of goods to be delivered, quantities, warranties, modality of payments etc.
•Monitor supplier stock, delay of production to ensure the flow of goods will be in time.
•Taking care of certifications with the suppliers, such as CE, RoHS… in order to adapt the client’s market conditions.
•Work closely with the sales team to understand details of procurement requirements
•Manage the shipping terms and conditions related to the client’s needs (Airfreight, Sea Freight, etc.) with our partners and shipping department.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements for the Role The DocShipper team is built around a knowledgeable, experienced and passionate group of people who are proud to be part of an elite global brand name in the Freight and sourcing industry. We are looking for a key employee to join this team with a determinate attitude and desire to work with the company to develop a successful career within the organization on the long term:
•1+ years of experience in a similar position
•Minimum 3 years of direct experience in same business field
•Strong knowledge of Alibaba Marketplace (and/or other marketplace), Chinese contacts and suppliers network is a plus.
•Solid software operational knowledge including words, excel…
•Exceptional interpersonal skills and rapport building including charisma and ability to push suppliers and partners or to say “no”.
•Flexible to work long hours as demanded by projects
•Excellent understanding of negotiation and culture with Chinese suppliers and partners.
•Understand the requirements of different kinds of Freight Movement and Incoterms
•Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Purchasing, or comparable work experience in the field is favored.
•Good Analytical, Negotiation and Problem-solving skills
•Energetic, Well-organized, Self-Initiated and good team player
•English is mandatory, French is (big) a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS
•Remote position first from TUNISIA or in the candidate’s place, relocation in Tunis (Tunisia) office after getting visa if necessary, after 2 months test and installation in the new office.
•Monday to Friday (in office): 8am to 7 pm – Lunch break - Flexible hours according to the management team and priorities.
