The Arab World Regional Office

The IPPF Arab World Region(IPPF AWR) is the leading Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) service delivery organization in the North Africa and the Middle East,and the leading Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) advocacy voice in the region.

Headquartered inTunis,Tunisia,the overarching goal of IPPF AWR is to increase access to SRHR services to the most vulnerable populations including adolescents, young people,women and men. The regional office partners with 13 member associations and is working in 14 countries across the region.

IPPF is actively committed to addressing the sexual and reproductive health and rights needs of people in humanitarian situations wherever they are. We are currently recruiting for a Regional Humanitarian Advisor, Arab World and Africa Regions (AWR/AR) who will be located in the Arab World Regional Office in Tunis.

ABOUT THE POSITION

PURPOSE/SCOPE OF WORK

·  To contribute to upholding Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) of all people, particularly the most marginalized and vulnerable in humanitarian settings in IPPF AWR/AR , by building institutional capacities of MAs across the regions to provide life-saving SRH services at the onset of humanitarian crises.

·  To provide programmatic and strategic oversight to the humanitarian portfolio within/across AWR/AR.

·  To collaborate closely with other colleagues across the IPPF Secretariat and Federation including other members of the global humanitarian, technical, strategic partnerships and programmes teams to ensure the sound design, development and delivery of humanitarian programmes in the AWR/AR regions.

Reports to: Assistant Regional Director, Capacity Sharing

Location: Tunis 

Contract: One year renewable
