The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance Working for the ICRC means projecting a certain image of the organization. The ICRC expects all its staff to behave appropriately at all times, wherever they may be. All staff members must ensure that their attitude is in line with the principles of the organization, in both their professional and private lives.

The ICRC Delegation in Libya – temporarily located in Tunis - seeks to fill the following position:

                                                                                 Information Analyst

                                                                           The position is based in Tunis

The position is part of the ICRC Libya Communication team and requires a person having solid experience in research, media monitoring with a strong capacity to gather, synthesize and share timely information on specific humanitarian topics

  • To gather news and analysis on Libya of humanitarian and socio-political nature

  • To share daily media monitoring focusing on topical issues

  • To provide topical research on specific themes and issues


  • Master’s degree in media studies, social sciences

  • Experience as a researcher, journalist or working in NGO / Think Tank etc

  • Very good knowledge of Libyan socio-political environment

  • Knowledge of Libyan and Foreign media which covers Libya a must

  • Fully proficient and shall be able to write and translate well in English and Arabic. Knowledge of French extremely useful for this role.

  • Needed soft skills for the position, such as flexibility, interest for Humanitarian issues
