Position Overview

The Process Engineer is responsible for ensuring the operational performance, industrialization, and continuous improvement of serial production lines dedicated mainly to Electric Vehicle (EV) charging cables.

The role combines both production engineering and process engineering responsibilities, ensuring stable daily manufacturing performance while supporting new projects, product launches, process transfers, automation initiatives, and industrial optimization activities in alignment with HUBER+SUHNER global standards.


Key responsibilities


New Projects & Transfers

· Lead industrialization activities for new projects, product launches and coordinate process transfers from other HUBER+SUHNER plants.

· Define process parameters, tooling, equipment requirements, and work instructions.

· Support APQP deliverables including PFMEA, Control Plans, process flowcharts, and capacity analysis

Serial production support

·  Ensure smooth and efficient operation of serial production lines.

·  Analyze production performance and implement actions to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.

·  Conduct Kaizen workshops, problem-solving activities and support production teams in solving technical and operational issues.

Quality & Compliance

· Ensure manufacturing processes comply with quality standards and customer requirements.

· Support internal and external audits.

· Support PFMEA, control plans, APQP, and root cause analysis activities.

· Maintain process documentation, work instructions, and engineering records.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and R&D teams.

· Provide technical support and training to production teams.

· Participate in international engineering collaboration and benchmarking activities.

Required qualifications

  • Engineering / technician degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years as experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or production engineering within industrial environments.
  • Experience in automotive industry or electromechanical manufacturing is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of industrialization and serial production management.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and ISO standards.
  • Good command of MS Office, ERP systems (SAP preferred), and engineering tools.
