Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Engineering manager/supervisor in the implementation and management of a variety of projects –NPI, Change Control, and Customer Quotes
  • Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates
  • Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems
  • To work with other internal and external teams and departments.
  • Support the design change process to ensure timely delivery of controlled design change.
  • Driving the New Product Introduction (NPI) process throughout all projects assigned
  • Analyze data to support informed decision making.
  • Develop and drive improvement within engineering practices and processes.
  • Encourage, support and develop a continuous improvement culture.

Desired Skills and Experience

Requirements

  • Engineering degree in Manufacturing Engineering or other engineering/electrical discipline.
  • 5 plus year experience working in manufacturing environments with experience in a “hands on” low to medium volume assembly process improvements and practical quality improvement implementation preferred.
  • Lean Tools / Six Sigma Problem Solving experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Project experience preferred.
  • Understanding of product data management system and ERP preferred
  • Core Tools – APQP, PPAP experience preferred
