Job Title

Site Quality Manager - Tunisia

Job Summary

In alignment with direction provided by Quality Manager in HQ Italy, drive continuous improvement through the development and implementation of Quality processes, systems, tools and techniques for the Tunisia plant. Provide exceptional support to quality team in Italy for final customers satisfaction and to local operations team in Tunisia.

In a matrix type organization, the position reports hierarchically to Tunisia Site Manager and functionally to Quality Manager in HQ, Italy.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

Leadership and management responsibilities

-  Recruit, interview and hire internally and externally Quality Engineers and other Quality personnel on a need base

-  Monitor team member turnover; identify key factors that can be improved to retain key personnel and make improvements.

-  Identify individual and team strengths and development needs on an ongoing basis.

-  Coach and mentor Quality Engineering staff to deliver excellence to every internal and external customer.

-  Create and manage succession plans for Quality function

-  Create and/or validate training curriculum in area of responsibility.

-  Establish clear measurable goals and objectives by which to determine individual and team results

-  Drive individuals and the team to continuously improve in key operational metrics and the achievement of the organizational goals.

-  Coordinate activities of quality team members and keep them focused in times of crises.

-  Provide periodic communication forum for the exchange of ideas and information with the department.

Functional management responsibilities

-  Getting the input from Quality in HQ in Italy, implement the Quality strategy which contributes to the plant’s strategic directions.

-  Develop an understanding of the work cell business strategy as it pertains to Quality.

-  Provide regular updates to Quality Manager in HQ Italy and Site Manager Tunisia on the execution of the strategy.

-  Know and understand the plant strategic directions.

-  Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value-added processes).

-  Utilize tools to monitor departmental cost and cost trends, striving continuously to improve value.

Technical management responsibilities

-  Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management.

-  Manages issues product related identified during production or highlighted by Customers / Quality HQ in Italy.

-  Assess the adequacy of data gathering methods utilized by the work cells.

-  Assure that procedures and work instructions are effective, efficient and not redundant.

-  Offer new ideas and suggestions for improvement. Identify and implement new practices and processes that are “best in field”.

-  Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet, and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively; making customer issues a priority.

-  Understand and drive regulatory and compliance certifications (i.e. ISO 9001 -14001) and is responsible for Quality and Environment Management Systems

-  Ensure 100% adherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e. Health and Safety, Quality).

Desired Skills And Expertise

-  Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering

-  Seven years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, including two years in a supervisory role required.

-  Experience in the electronic manufacturing industry and related standards (IPC, JEDEC,…) , power supply specific knowledge is a plus

-  High attention to detail in regards to data integrity, data collection and data analysis.

-  Ability to network and build relationships inside and outside of the site

-  Developed experience in Main Quality tools such as PDCA, 8D, FMEA, SPC, and statistic analysis.

-  Experience in QMS

-  Fluent in English; Italian will be a plus
