Description

This essential team member will provide direct and indirect customer support for HPE Networking hardware  and software.

As the #2 Networking vendor, world-wide, we are growing in market share and in product depth and breadth.

The Europe, Middle-East & Africa (EMEA) TS GCC network support team consists of over 50 professionals located in Belgium, Bulgaria, England, France,

Germany, India, Poland, The Netherlands and Tunisia. We primarily support HPN networking hardware, however we also have a small Multi-Vendor networking sub-team who also support BlueCoat, Check Point, Cisco,  F5 & Riverbed.

Experience in remote support of customer networks:

  • Proficient at troubleshooting using remote diagnostic methods and tools, including use of virtual support rooms to collect data, show tech or show diag logs, packet capture analysis, etc.
  • Strong customer satisfaction skills
  • Ability to take responsibility for customer issues and have the initiative to resolve issues reactively and proactively, across organizations, and with sound technical and business decisions to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Technical Degree or Technical School certification and 10 to 12  years networking technical support assistance with industry recognized certifications and direct customer interaction experience.
  • Strong experience within the networking industry, technologies and LAN/WAN products.
    • Industry certifications such as CCNA, prefer CCNP or CCIE,
    • HP ATP, HP ASE  or MASE Network Infrastructure certification
    • MCSE, Linux Red Hat
  • Candidates should have the capability to use WAN/LAN protocol analysis tools such as Wireshark, or MS NetMon. With the ability to analyze to the packet level with TCP/IP, MPLS, OSPF, IGRP, SIP, H.323, among other protocols.
  • Experience with Switching and Routing, with one of the other  below technologies in the trouble shooting, configuration, and problem diagnosis
    • Switching and Routing -- Experience with the configuration, implementation and problem diagnosis of enterprise networking equipment. Should have experience with several of the following technologies: 10/100/1000/ Gig Ethernet standards, DHCP, VLANS, QOS, STP, PVST, Spanning Tree, BGP, IGRP, OSPF, MPLS, IS-IS, RIP, TCP/IP, etc.
    • Wireless -- Experience with 802.11b/g/n standards. Wireless encryption techniques such as WEP, WPA and Radius Authentication.
    • Security—802.1x, Radius, TACACs, Web, Wireless, client authentication access protocols.
    • Network Management -- Experience with WIN OS, Linux , MYSQL, SNMP, and MIB structures, MIB Browser,and HPN iMC or other network management applications.

  • The ability to work remotely, yet be a good team member. Engineers are often required by circumstances to cooperate on case management, e.g. illness, onsite visits, trainings, vacations, or on cases where you may have an essential skill that’s needed.
  • Strong written English language skills, and competent in English verbally.
  • Strong written French  language skills, and competent in French  verbally.
  • Other  languages are welcomed.
  • Able to travel when required and provide standby and on-call rotation duty for weekend, after hours or holidays
