The main purpose of the role is to provide assistance with a broad range of legal issues as well as monitoring governance and compliance rules in the company.
The position reports to the General Manager & Deputy General Manager.
Candidates will be mainly required to:
- Manage local legal issues and instruct external counsel accordingly.
- Assist the C&P and the commercial team with drafting contracts and advise on new local laws.
- Compile quarterly corporate governance returns for the company.
- Prepare due diligence reports on local suppliers in conjunction with C&P.
- Work with the management team to establish impact of laws business.
- Ensure awareness of and compliance with governance procedures.
- Assist in monitoring and implementing standards and policies consistent with the Company Governance Framework.
REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND MAIN SKILLS:
- University degree in legal affairs (Min Bac + 4).
- Qualified to practice law in Tunisia.
- Fluency in English, Arabic and French languages- Written and Spoken.
- Legal knowledge, with ability to work with different issues across various legal areas.
- Ability to identify business risk.
- Good negotiating and presentation skills.
- Ability to draft clear letters and contracts in English, French and Arabic.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team and with limited supervision.
