An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced commodity trader specialized in the olive oil market to join our agricultural commodities trading company. This newly created position offers a broad spectrum of opportunity, scope, within a small and dynamic entity, considered as a successful agri-trading start-up, with ambitious growth objectives.

We are looking for an individual able to develop and nurture his own olive oil portfolio of clients in export markets such as Europe, North America and the Middle East. In this role, you will liaise with Tunisian olive oil suppliers. We are already in contact with several, interesting to do a partnership with us. However, your role will also be to developed the origination of the product and ensure the quality.
This role is tailor-maid for a resourceful trader eager to evolute in a fast paced environment inside an experienced, enthusiastic and multicultural team.
The position will be based in our Tunis office. Possibility to work remote.

Task and responsibilities

  • Develop a portfolio of buyers and suppliers.
  • Follow the logistics plan to ensure all contracts are well executed.
  • Ensure that all documents are issued correctly according to the contracts.
  • Ensure that all payments are processed/received efficiently.
  • Liaise and maintain constant communication with third parties, port operators, and clients to ensure that all aspects of the contract deliveries are achieved.

Qualifications, experience and competencies

  • Strong organisation skills
  • Numerate and analytical with attention to detail
  • Previous experiences in sales, ideally in the commodity sector
  • Knowledge of the olive oil market is highly valued
  • Knowledge of international trade would be an advantage
  • Self-motivated with the ability to organise and prioritise in quick paced and pressurised environment
  • Ability to work within set targets
  • Able to work as part of a multicultural team
  • Fluent in English, French and Arabic
