IT Infrastructure & Compliance Specialist

For our office in Tunis, we are looking for an IT Infrastructure & Compliance Specialist to support the development, operation, and continuous improvement of our technical infrastructure. In this role, you will also ensure compliance with local regulations, government requirements, and industry standards.

Your Responsibilities

• Support the setup, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure in Tunis.
• Install, assemble, and cable network equipment, gateways, access points, and other IT hardware.
• Ensure that all technical equipment operates reliably and is properly documented.
• Support the procurement of IT hardware within Tunisia, including sourcing suitable local suppliers, service providers, and components.
• Consider local requirements, particularly regarding customs regulations, product availability, and procurement processes.
• Assist with approval and registration procedures related to VPNs, encryption technologies, and telecommunications, particularly in coordination with CERT.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and cross-border data transfer requirements in accordance with the Tunisian Data Protection Authority (INPDP).
• Work in accordance with national cybersecurity regulations and support potential audit requirements from the relevant Tunisian authorities, particularly ANCS/ANSI.
• Coordinate independently with local institutions, government authorities, and external service providers.
• Maintain accurate documentation of technical implementations and regulatory processes to ensure full transparency and traceability.

What You Bring

• Experience in IT infrastructure, networking, or technical IT operations.
• Hands-on experience installing, assembling, cabling, and commissioning network equipment, gateways, and wireless access points.
• Good understanding of local IT and telecommunications regulations in Tunisia.
• Proven experience working with government approval procedures, ideally related to VPNs, encryption technologies, or telecommunications.
• Knowledge of data protection regulations, data exports, and cross-border data transfers is an advantage.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity requirements, national regulations, and audit processes.
• Experience procuring IT hardware within Tunisia.
• A structured, reliable, and solution-oriented working style.
• The ability to manage administrative and regulatory processes independently, patiently, and professionally.
• Fluent English is required (spoken and written). German language skills are considered a strong advantage but are not required.
• Strong teamwork, a sense of responsibility, and enthusiasm for working in an international environment.
