Lead Software Engineer

Digital Innovation Partner is Swiss-based IT company, part of the Swiss Digital Network, seeks a Lead Software Engineer for its Tunisian office, for a full-time position.

We need an experienced Lead SW Engineer to guide our AI-driven product development and solutions delivery team. The role involves designing, deploying, and delivering production-grade AI solutions, collaborating with teams in Switzerland, and promoting innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include technical leadership in an Agile environment, translating requirements into reliable solutions, and cross-functional collaboration. While focused on software engineering and system architecture for Reliability Management Solutions, experience with MLOps and production ML systems is highly desirable.

·  Oversee the design, architecture, and implementation of scalable software systems.

·  Provide mentorship and guidance to engineers, fostering team growth and ensuring high standards of technical quality.

·  Champion engineering best practices across the team, including clean code principles, maintainability, comprehensive testing, CI/CD processes, documentation, and operational readiness.

·  Support informed technical decisions by assessing trade-offs related to scalability, reliability, performance, maintainability, and delivery constraints.

·  Collaborate effectively with product owners, engineers, subject matter experts, and domain specialists within Agile environments.

·  Convert functional and non-functional requirements into actionable technical solutions.

·  Participate in technical planning, estimation, risk identification, and follow-up on delivery milestones.

·  Ensure that all solutions are robust, observable, secure, and fully prepared for production deployment.

·  Partner with MLOps and data science professionals to integrate machine learning models or AI components seamlessly into production systems.

Your Skills

Software Engineering

·  Experience designing and building production-grade software systems

·  Strong skills in system design, architecture, and engineering trade-offs

·  Familiarity with APIs, backend services, integration patterns, and distributed systems

·  Knowledge of automated testing, code reviews, maintainability, and managing technical debt

·  Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle)

·  Ability to create data models based on scalability and performance needs

·  Understanding of query optimization, indexing, and database performance

·  Proficiency in software engineering principles: clean code, modular design, testing, maintainability, and code reviews

·  Experience with frameworks such as FastAPI, Spring Boot, or Node.js
