SENIOR BUYER PLASTIC POLE

Main MISSIONS:

Is fully responsible about the management of his/her team of buyers.

·  He/she reports to the Purchasing Manager

·  He/she is responsible for the execution of the purchasing strategy on the perimeter he/she directly manages as well as on the perimeter of his/her team's responsibility;in accordance with the overall purchasing strategy, processes and rules of the group

·  The Senior Buyer is responsible about the Operational Performance KPIs achievement for his perimeter as well as for the global perimeter of his team, starting from the SOP until the End of Serial Life time. In case of deviations, he/she is responsible for implementing/following up on an action plan.

·  In case of escalation of the blocking points by his/her team he/she will take the lead of the management of the blocking points under the guidance of Purchasing Manager.

·  The Senior Buyer is in close contact with the CLB to ensure the Purchasing Strategy execution for his/her perimeter and his/her team perimeter.

·  The Senior Buyer is responsible about the Productivity Plan definition and execution with suppliers, in relation with product line teams and operations, for his perimeter/his team perimeter.

·  The Senior Buyer is involved in the Budget definition, but responsible for the execution and reporting on his perimeter/his team perimeter.

Is the Purchasing window for operations.

·  He/She is the first contact in case of escalation for the perimeter he/she is in charge of as well as for the perimeter under his/her responsibility.

·  Works closely with the buyers under his/her responsibility/Purchasing Manager/CLB and with the other Akwel departments for which the Purchasing department provides support.

·  Provides feedbacks from the suppliers and suggests innovative solutions to his manager or the Commodity Lead Buyers concerned,

·  Conducts annual negotiations (other than those managed by the Purchasing Manager/Regional Purchasing Director or Commodity Lead Buyer),

Must apply all AKWEL Management System procedures and operating instructions within the framework of operations linked to his job and the rules defined by the Group. Agrees to act in accordance with the ethical rules of the Group.

CONFIDENTIALITY:

Has a duty to preserve secrecy and confidentiality with respect to all the systems and data to which he can be granted access, within the normal framework of his function.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree reinforced by 3/5 years’ experience minimum in Purchasing in the manufacturing sector.

Professional Abilities:

·  Leadership skills

·  Team Player with excellent communication skills, listening, enthusiasm, perseverance, decision making,

·  Multi task abilities & capacity to prioritize

·  Abilities to organize and coordinate meetings

·  Knowledge in finance & cash management and price structure

·  Negotiation skills

·  English Fluent, other language used in the perimeter of activity is a plus

·  Good IT skills: Office, SAP

·  Able to travel in foreign countries

Technical Knowledge:

·  • Knowledge of plastic raw materials and plastic part production (including technologies) is mandatory

·  Results-oriented, with QCDP mindset

·  Purchasing process knowledge (eg: Total cost management, negotiation skills…)

·  Supply base management

·  Management of RFQ processes & sourcing

·  Contracts management (negotiation, legal,….)

·  Project management
