Job Title: Pricing Analytics Engineer
Location: Tunis, Tunisia
Reporting to: Global Head of Pricing & Promotions

Overview of Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated, delivery-focused self-starter with exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities to join our growing team. You have a can-do attitude and thrive on working in a multi-cultural team environment. In addition to a solid technical background, you have excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills. You will be responsible for generating competitor intelligence data using our state-of-the-art web scraping tools. This role is central to our commercial decision-making process and as such you will be working with a range of internal and external stakeholders across the pricing and development community.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build and schedule web scraping agents to collect and store competitive 

    intelligence data across multiple sources and countries.

  • Design and monitor end-to-end ETL processes to ensure reliable and consistent flow of information to support the different business functions.
  • Respond to structural changes in website configuration and perform pro-active maintenance on scraping agents to prevent data-loss.
  • Create new and/or optimize existing scripts to accelerate harvesting process and/or improve data quality.
  • Create reusable data assets ready for analysis.
  • Advocate for data quality, governance, and product thinking
  • Create an automated review-and-correct feedback loop on scraping output
  • Leverage competitor intelligence to benefit product-matching process
  • Publish your findings and report progress to the team in weekly reviews
  • Communicate output and processes to different internal stakeholders
  • Serve as main technical point of contact for external service providers
  • Support Global Pricing & Promotions team with analytical intelligence on demand
  • Provide documentation and train business users on data use and interpretation

 Requirements & Qualifications

Experience:

  • Working experience in business analytics or data engineering (or equivalent roles)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced commercial environment

Technical skills:

  • Advanced level of SQL
  • Advanced web scraping and development (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript)
    • Advanced web scraping and development (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript)
    • Experience creating and customizing XPath expressions for web scraping
    • Experience using cloud-based data warehousing solutions including Snowflake and AWS
    • Intermediate level Python for data management (Airflow experience preferred)
    • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts
    • Experience building and maintaining ETL pipeline using a variety of sources
    • Strong skills in data cleaning, transformation, pre-processing, and integration
    • Solid experience in (semi-structured) data exploration and validation
    • Strong BI tools knowledge (Looker experience preferred)

    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
    • Ability to articulate complex information to support data-led recommendations (to both technical and non-technical audience)
