Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Reconciliation

  • Preparation of MIS/Ledger independently to ensure correct and complete accounting, including all necessary reports for the Head Office.

  • Preparation of month-end provisions and intercompany reconciliation.

  • Checking bank statements for cash and DD credits, maintaining the same in the remittance tracker, and preparing DAR reports while reconciling with the online fund flow.

  • Coordination with the Travel Desk for surrendered currency and ensuring correct accounting in SAP.

  • Routine tasks such as stop payments, DD cancellations, cheque cancellations, cheque depositions, receipt generation, and manual payments.

Accounts Payable and Vendor Management

  • Accurate and timely verification of travel sheets and imprest clearances.

  • Ensuring verification of vendor invoices and payment documents.

  • Ensuring timely remittance and RTGS transactions while maintaining complete documentation.

  • Coordination with SSC and VFS Global staff for payments and other queries.

Process Efficiency and Compliance

  • Ensuring accurate maintenance of reports and processes, as well as the completion of processes within set timelines.

  • Maintenance of the internal customer satisfaction index for the department.

Key Competencies

Communication Visible ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders to achieve business results.

Financial Accounting

  • Expert in accounting standards in market as well as basic knowledge of US and Indian GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

  • Understanding of accounting concepts and processes.

  • Knowledge of Company Finance Manual.

  • Knowledge of SAP, Oracle and various accounting platforms.

Compliance Conforming to a rule, such as a specification, policy, standard or law. to ensure that the organisation is aware of and take steps to comply with relevant laws and regulations

Languages: Proficiency in English and French required

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role is required.
