Our client is looking for an experienced HSE Manager to lead and manage safety and environmental compliance programs across their site at Djebel Ressas. The successful candidate will play a critical role in protecting employees, minimizing risk exposure, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and maintaining safe working conditions throughout the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Standards & Procedures: Develop and enforce workplace safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Health & Safety Guidelines: Initiate and implement occupational health, safety, and environmental policies.
- HSE Program Management: Lead, manage, and oversee the implementation of HSE programs.
- Contractor Safety: Plan and implement site-specific safety rules for contractors.
- Risk Assessment: Lead the risk assessment program to minimize risks associated with hazardous materials, accidents, fires, and unsafe working conditions.
- Job Hazard Analysis: Implement and oversee Job Hazard Analysis programs and communicate safety information across the site.
- Team Leadership: Guide, advise, and lead the HSE team to ensure high performance in executing their responsibilities.
- HSE Reporting: Provide monthly reports on HSE KPIs and activities.
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all HSE standards and procedures.
- Incident Management: Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Inspection & Control: Oversee HSE control programs, including periodic inspections of production and non-production buildings (e.g., fire-fighting systems).
- Training & Development: Lead safety training programs to maintain a high level of safety competence across the site.
- Disciplinary Actions: Propose and implement disciplinary measures for unsafe behaviors while fostering a culture of safety.
Qualifications :
- Education: A diploma in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience: 7-10 years of relevant experience in HSE, with at least 2 years in a similar managerial position.
- Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of operational processes and HSE procedures.
- Strong understanding of local HSE laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and management skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
