Quality Supervisor

LocationZ.I. El Fejja – 5012 Sahline, Monastir – Tunisia

Department: Quality
Reports to: Quality Process Team Leader 

Purpose of the Role

To oversee and coordinate quality control activities on the production floor, ensuring products meet internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance, while coaching and guiding the quality team to maintain high performance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Supervise Quality Agents and oversee Quality Gate / Quality Wall activities to ensure effective inspection and control

  2. Ensure correct application of Control Plans, inspection methods, and quality standards on the production floor

  3. Verify the proper use, calibration, and condition of gauges and inspection tools

  4. Monitor discipline, presence, and performance of quality resources, providing guidance and coaching as needed

  5. Detect deviations in quality processes and take immediate corrective action

  6. Ensure rapid escalation of quality issues according to defined rules and procedures

  7. Communicate clearly and proactively with Production Supervisors and the Quality Process Engineer

  8. Contribute to the reduction of scrap, rework, and sorting caused by shift-related issues

  9. Identify recurring problems and escalate them for root cause analysis and corrective actions

  10. Enforce adherence to procedures, standards, and quality rules

  11. Maintain complete and accurate traceability and documentation of quality activities

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Engineering degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field)

  • 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing quality roles (Inspector, Technician)

  • Experience working in shifts (day/night/rotation) in high-volume or repetitive production environments

  • Hands-on experience with direct shop-floor inspection, containment, and non-conformity management

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

  • Proficient in the use of gauges and inspection equipment

  • Strong team leadership skills with authority to guide and supervise quality staff on the shop floor

  • Clear and effective communication with Production Supervisors and team members

  • Ability to enforce procedures and quality rules under pressure

  • Quick and confident decision-making in abnormal or non-conforming situations
