We are a leading Swiss multinational company with operations in Tunisia (Sousse) and we are pleased to announce an exciting career opportunity for the position of Engineering Manager.

Position Overview

The Engineering Manager will play a key role in strengthening operational stability, technical capability, and long-term competitiveness of the Tunisian site by ensuring robust engineering governance and continuous development of the Engineering and Maintenance functions in full alignment with the group standards.

Organizational Context

  • Member of the site management team.
  • Reports to the Managing Director with a functional link to Global Engineering.
  • Leads engineering teams and has line management responsibility for the Maintenance Responsible.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Governance

  • Lead, manage, and develop Engineering and Maintenance teams, fostering high performance, engagement, and technical excellence in line with Group leadership principles
  • Establish and deploy engineering strategies aligned with site objectives and Group standards
  • Ensure strong engineering governance, compliance, and risk management

Operational Excellence & Technology

  • Drive technology development, industrialization, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Promote and implement proven engineering methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Support new product introductions, industrial transfers, and execution of the technology roadmap

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration with Production, Quality, Industrialization, Supply Chain, and Global Engineering teams
  • Act as a key technical partner to site and Group stakeholders

People & Capability Development

  • Foster competency development, internal talent growth, and robust succession planning within Engineering and Maintenance
  • Build a strong safety, reliability, and continuous improvement culture

Asset & Performance Management

  • Oversee Maintenance activities to ensure high availability, reliability, safety, and lifecycle performance of production and facility assets
  • Manage budgets, resources, risks, and performance indicators in line with site and Group governance frameworks

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Engineering degree (master’s or equivalent) in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical or related engineering fields.
  • 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in engineering and maintenance with 5 years at least as Engineering Manager, with proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong background in engineering and maintenance management, industrialization, and continuous improvement (automotive field is highly appreciated)
  • Capable to create/introduce automation (semi and full) concepts to existing production lines and for new products
  • Used to work in international setup/teams – willing to travel and to stay abroad for some weeks
    Experience with small batch as well as high volume production
  • Experience in deploying structured methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, project management, etc.).
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix within an international environment and interface with global teams.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational and change-management skills.
  • Lean thinking and acting mindset

·  Computer skills (MS Office, Auto Cad , SAP)

  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
