Purpose of Role:

As a Quality Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that raw materials, components, assemblies, products, and manufacturing processes .

Key Accountabilities:

· Conduct product control inspections and tests as required.

· Support product failure analysis (internal and external), including the validation of failure modes, utilizing laboratory measurement and analysis equipment, and the implementation of effective containment actions to prevent the delivery of non-conforming products.

· Support product problem-solving investigations.

· Complete MSA for quality inspection and measurement equipment.

· Input into PFMEA (Process Failure Mode & Effect Analysis).

· Set up and maintain control plans (PCP, MCP, ICP).

· Perform capability studies and ISIR measurements for inputs into PPAP.

· Conduct product and manufacturing process audits as required.

· Support Quality Auditors in conducting manufacturing and product audits, especially when technical assistance is required.

· Maintain manufacturing quality control documentation and reports.

· First maintenance of test equipment.

· Calibration and certification of all measurement equipment.

Person Specification:

· Attention to Detail,

· Strong Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills

· Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using measurement tools, test equipment, and relevant software for the inspection process. Calibration and maintenance.

· Communication Skills: Ability to write detailed and understandable inspection reports.

· Team Support: Provides guidance and support to colleagues to enhance overall quality control efforts.

· Proactive Approach: Identifies potential quality issues and takes the necessary steps to address them.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Experience in component, product, and manufacturing process audits, testing and inspections.

· Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, IATF16949, quality control processes and procedures, and standards.

· Proficient in the use of control plans, MSA, SPC, and process capability studies.

· Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., molding, crimping, soldering, etc.).

· Expertise in utilizing problem-solving tools, such as 8D, 5M, 5Why, etc.

· Skilled in the use of software programs – Minitab, Qualipro, IFS, Cognidox, Microsoft (MS) Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel.

Desirable:

· Health and safety knowledge.

· Completed and working experience in ISO 19011 Auditing Management.

· Working experience in automotive or medical industries.
