PRODUCTION UNIT MANAGER
Location: Z.I. El Fejja – 5012 Sahline, Monastir – Tunisia
Department: Production
Reports to: Production Director
Purpose of the Role
The Production Unit Manager ensures the execution of production plans within their area, managing teams, machines, and materials to meet quality and efficiency goals. The role coordinates shift leaders and teams to deliver reliable and cost-effective production output.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervise daily operations and manage production flow in the section
2. Lead shift supervisors, technicians, and line staff to meet targets
3. Monitor key performance indicators and escalate critical deviations
4. Coordinate with maintenance for timely interventions and equipment efficiency
5. Handle reporting, shift planning, and data accuracy in internal systems
6. Support quality controls, lean initiatives, and training needs
7. Lead on-boarding and integration of new operators
8. Participate in audits, improvement groups, and planning meetings
9. Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and conduct standards
Required Skills & Competencies
- Leadership, team coaching, and delegation
- Clear communication and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of production systems and performance drivers
- Good analytical and problem-solving mindset
Education & Background
- Qualifications: 3-5 years of higher education (preferably in mechanical/electrical engineering).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in production (including team management). 5+ years ideal.
- Skills: Industrial/technical specialisation. Proficiency in MS Office. SAP appreciated.
