Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and experienced HR Director to lead our People Operations function in Tunis, Tunisia. With a workforce exceeding 1,000 employees and a second facility launching later this year, this role is critical to driving operational excellence, shaping organisational culture, and supporting scalable growth.
The HR Director will oversee all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, compliance, workforce planning, and organisational development. This role reports directly to the Director of People Operations – Rest of World and the HCM Product Owner, ensuring alignment between global HR strategy and local execution.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic People Operations
• Develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives and future expansion
• Partner with Talent Team on workforce planning and organisational design, especially in preparation for the second building launch
• Oversee employee lifecycle processes including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
• Leadership & Team Management
• Manage and mentor a team of five HR professionals
• Foster a high-performance, service-oriented HR culture across departments
• Compliance & Governance
• Ensure full compliance with Tunisian labor laws and international employment standards
• Maintain and update HR policies and procedures in line with legal and organisational requirements
• Culture & Engagement
• Champion employee engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives
• Drive internal communications and programs that reinforce company values and culture
• Talent Development & Retention
• Design and implement training, development, and succession planning programs
• Partner with leadership to identify and nurture high-potential talent
• Operational Expansion Support
• Lead HR planning and execution for the opening of the second building, including staffing, logistics, and change management
• Global Alignment
• Collaborate with global HR leadership to ensure local practices align with enterprise-wide systems and strategic priorities
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
• Experience managing HR operations in large-scale, fast-paced environments. Ideally with contact centre background
• Strong knowledge of Tunisian labor laws and HR compliance
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive strategic HR initiatives
• Fluency in English and French; Arabic is a plus
