Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Upper Primary English Teaching Assistant at CIS International School of Tunis. The Upper Primary English Teaching Assistant will support the lead English teacher in planning and delivering lessons, assisting students, and helping create a positive learning environment. This role involves supporting students’ language development and ensuring that they reach their full potential in English literacy. The assistant will also contribute to classroom management, help with marking assignments, and engage students in various activities.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
Previous experience working with primary-aged children, preferably in an international school setting.
Strong command of the English language, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Passionate about supporting students' learning and development.
Ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Organizational skills and attention to detail in managing classroom tasks.
Collaborative mindset and willingness to work as part of a teaching team.
Responsibilities
Assist the Upper primary teacher in planning and delivering engaging English lessons for upper primary students.
Provide individual or small-group support to students who need extra help with reading, writing, and language comprehension.
Help maintain an inclusive and positive classroom environment where all students feel supported and encouraged.
Aid in classroom management, ensuring students stay focused and engaged during lessons.
Prepare and organize teaching materials, classroom displays, and resources as needed.
Assist in marking and providing feedback on students’ assignments and assessments.
Supervise students during non-instructional times, such as break or lunch periods.
Support the organization of school activities and events related to English language learning.
Communicate effectively with the lead teacher and contribute to students' progress reports.
Maintain open communication with parents, providing updates on student progress when required.
Participate in professional development sessions to stay updated on teaching best practices.
