Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a School Nurse at CIS International School of Tunis. The School Nurse will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of students and staff, providing basic healthcare services, managing health records, and implementing health-related policies and procedures. The nurse will work closely with students, parents, and staff to ensure a safe and healthy school environment.
Reporting to: School Counselor
Qualifications
Registered Nurse with a valid nursing license in Tunisia
Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred
Strong knowledge of healthcare practices, first aid, and emergency procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in emergencies
CPR and First Aid certification required
Proficiency in English as it is the School language.
Responsibilities
Provide basic healthcare services to students and staff, including administering medication and first aid as needed
Maintain accurate health records for students and staff, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations
Monitor and manage chronic health conditions and allergies among students
Develop and implement health-related policies and procedures in collaboration with the school administration
Conduct health screenings and assessments as required
Respond to health emergencies and provide crisis intervention when necessary
Communicate with parents, guardians, and healthcare providers regarding student health needs
Ensure that the school’s health facilities and equipment are properly maintained
Participate in school events and activities to promote health and wellness
Adhere to all school policies and procedures, contributing to a safe and respectful learning environment
Teaching Wellbeing sessions to primary school if needed.
