Job Description:

CIS International School of Tunis is seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary Homeroom Teacher to join our esteemed institution. Key Responsibilities:

1. Classroom Management:

   • Create a welcoming and organized classroom environment that promotes active learning and student engagement.
   • Uphold school policies and procedures to ensure a respectful and disciplined atmosphere.
   • Develop a strong classroom community by building positive relationships with students and fostering a sense of belonging.

2. Curriculum Delivery:

   • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and academic standards.
   • Foster a love for learning by using innovative teaching methods and interactive activities.
   • Tailor instruction to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.

3. Student Development:

   • Observe and assess student progress, identifying individual strengths and areas for improvement.
   • Support social and emotional growth, building essential life skills and values.
   • Encourage students to develop a strong foundation in literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking.

4. Parent and Guardian Communication:

   • Establish effective communication channels with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and well-being.
   • Organize and participate in parent-teacher meetings to engage families in their child's educational journey.

5. Professional Development:

   • Stay updated with the latest developments in primary education and teaching techniques.
   • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods and contribute to curriculum development.
   • Be a positive role model for students, inspiring a love for learning and personal growth.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Education or a relevant field (PHD degree is a plus).
• Teaching certification and substantial teaching experience, preferably with primary students.
• A genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to their academic and personal development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.
• An inclusive and patient demeanor, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Proficiency in English, as it is the primary language used for lessons and communication at our school.
