Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities:

The general tasks and responsibilities for this function are :

•  Conducting all business activities according Code of Ethics
• Receives work requests from Mechanical Supervisor. Attends to requests from various sections on Super complex for maintenance repairs of various equipment such as mechanical parts of steam turbine, gas turbines, heat recovery steam generator, pumps, air compressor fuel gas compressor etc.
• Carries out planned inspection on machinery and equipment according to well-prepared inspection checklists
• Strips down such equipment to undertake full maintenance on site or in workshop
• Work closely with field service and inspection personnel and participates in major overhauls performed by specialists during C inspections of plant equipment.
• Performs alignment of mechanical equipment such as pumps and capable of using relevant measurement equipment
• Perform condition monitoring ( vibration monitoring and thermal survey)of equipment: Collect data and dump it on the Software.
• Inspects seals, bearing, etc. on Super complexes equipment and rectifies leakage, breakages. Conducts repairs include: cutting, grinding and machining when it is required
• Retouches heat exchangers and conducts pressure testing of such equipment. Repairs and maintains a variety of static equipment : manual valves , PSV's , motorised valves…..
• Contribute in keeping critical spares ,tools and consumables availability in the warehouse
• Ensures tidy working place on sites and in workshop.
