Bank ABC wishes to recruit a Senior Finance Officer within its Finance Department at the Tunisian Branch.

Job Summary:

The Senior Finance Officer will be responsible of performing internal and HO management reporting within deadlines, ensuring correct and accurate book-keeping, and providing support to the team in addition to performing necessary reviews.

He will be preparing profitability, cost and performance analysis requested by the CEO and/or HO.

Experience:

• Minimum 4 to 5 years in equivalent position in the banking sector

• An experience in audit firm is a plus.

Education/Certifications:

• Master's degree in accounting / Finance

• Any additional certification is a plus.

Knowledge:

• Accounting (Tunisian GAAP and IFRS) and finance

• Internal Control and risk management

• Tax regulation

• Banking regulation and commercial law

• Computer Skills: MS office (Excel & PowerPoint)

• Language: Arabic, French and English.

Main missions and responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate, timely, and reliable reporting

• Contribute to Business Plans, Budgets and forecasts tasks

• Assist in the bank’s projects and perform timely review

• Actively contribute to the improvement of Key Activities' efficiency

• Assist the team and make sure that reporting to Head Office and to senior management are accurate and reliable

• Report to the Head of Finance any issue regarding the bank’s figures

• Make sure that all reports are prepared and delivered in time

• Analyze monthly, quarterly, and yearly variance and give appropriate explanations

• Identify unusual items and confirm with business units

• Prepare appropriate presentations to the senior management regarding the banks’ performance

• Review all manual entries performed by the finance team

• Review the appropriateness of the accounting schemes of unusual transactions and compliance with group policies and accounting standards

• Reply to business units request on financial information and make sure that the provided information corresponds to their needs

• Assist the finance team in performing their tasks by giving guidance on how to deliver efficiently

• Give inputs to business units on their historical performance to allow appropriate forecasts

• Be part of any internal projects and provide inputs from a finance and accounting perspective

• Make sure that new transactions, amendments, and any changes are correctly converted on accounting entries

• Reply to internal and external auditors, and Group Audit requests (documentations, financial information, details…)

• Provide analysis of the bank’s performance

• Review book-keepings

• Identify areas of possible automations and manage the process with IT.
