Calzedonia Group, for its new production plants in Tunisia, is seeking an Import/Export Specialist.  

The main tasks will be:

  • Managing all import and export processes in accordance with customs legislation and company rules
  • To make domestic and international correspondence regarding import and export operations
  • Providing follow-up if there are changes about arrivals, make updates as required and inform the sales division and transport dpt
  • Working in coordination with the customs brokerage, obtaining all necessary documents/permits and preparing work orders
  • Ensuring compliance with import rules, regulations, and modulations
  • Track and follow up local legislation improvements and announce to related parties on time
  • Ensuring communication in the business process of foreign departments-carriers-customer brokerage-sales force
  • Planning of urgent transfer or transportation in case of needed
  • Making cost analyse and document controls of the files which import-export transactions are completed, archiving, and forwarding them to the accounting
  • Reporting on regular basis to related parties
  • Preparing logistics presentations for top management and foreign colleagues
  • Improving the department in every aspect to speed the process with minimum costs.
  • Examining and auditing the quality of work of service providers and suggesting changes when necessary.

The basic requirements for the Import/Export Specialist are: 

·  University Degree (preferably with relevant educational background Logistics/Foreign Trade/Import);

·  3-5 years of experience in import/export logistics department;

·  Experience with customs documentation, knowledge of international trade terms and requirements, cost calculations and import planning;

·  Knowledge of the Tunisian legal procedures;

·  Proficiency in MS Office;

·  Fluent English (written and spoken); 

·  Analytical thinking, team working, planning, result and quality-oriented approach and good communication skills.
