Junior Financial Controller

Ekuity Capital formerly known as the Tunisian-Kuwaiti Consortium of Development (CTKD), was established in 1976 as a joint venture between Kuwait Investment Authority (’’KIA’’) the sovereign wealth fund of the State of Kuwait, the Tunisian Government and the Tunisian private sector in order to promote the Tunisian hospitality and tourism sector.

Headquartered in Tunis, the company’s initial core business consisted of the management of the Abou Nawas Hotels. Over the last couple of decades, the company expanded its activities and is now considered one of the largest diversified investment institutions in Tunisia. Ekuity Capital has currently significant ownership interests in a portfolio of over 20 companies.

We are seeking to hire a highly motivated Junior Financial Controller for our finance department. Ideally, the candidate will have experience in handling a wide range of financial tasks with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts of the company & its affiliates

Carry out periodic analysis and monitoring of budgets; identify & report variances

Provide support in developing and implementing financial control systems

Assist in improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business

Carry out budget control or purchases and procurement

Assist with the management and monitoring of project budgets

Carry out periodic financial analysis of projects

Collect data and prepare dashboards and reporting tools

Assist in the preparation of financial statements of the different entities

Coordinate and provide assistance for the audit process

Conduct periodical and annual fixed assets inventories

Candidate Profile & Requirements:

Bachelor or Master’s degree in accounting, finance or related field from a leading university.

3+ years of experience in finance, accounting or financial control

Experience in the construction & real estate sector is preferable.

Strong knowledge financial control and cost accounting principles

Good knowledge of Tunisian GAAP

Proficient use of reporting tools ; knowledge of business intelligence tool would be an advantage.

Excellent communication (both written and oral), presentation and interpersonal skills

Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining deadlines

Excellent levels of French and Arabic, good level of English

Excellent command of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word, Power BI)

Demonstrated autonomy and ability to take initiatives

Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and across all levels of the organization.
