The Arab World Regional Office

The IPPF Arab World Region (IPPF AWR) is the leading Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) service delivery organization in the North Africa and the Middle East,and the leading Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) advocacy voice in the region.

Headquartered inTunis,Tunisia, the overarching goal of IPPF AWR is to increase access to SRHR services to the most vulnerable populations including adolescents, young people,women and men. The regional office partners with 13 member associations and is working in 14 countries across the region.

IPPF AWRO actively supports its member associations across the region in providing high quality, rights-based sexual and reproductive health services. We are currently recruiting for a Sexual and Reproductive Health Lead, Global Comprehensive Abortion Care Initiative (GCACI) who will be located in the Arab World Regional Office in Tunis.

 

ABOUT THE POSITION

PURPOSE/SCOPE OF WORK

With predominant emphasis on Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) in the framework of the Global Comprehensive Abortion Care Initiative (GCACI), to oversee and participate in programme and management of AWR SRH programs, and regular monitoring and reporting on the performance of the GCACI program in three participating Member Associations (MAs) within overseeing MAs’ SRH contribution to the IPPF Strategic Framework (2016-2022).

 

Level of Education: Medical doctor or degree in a medical related subject, or equivalent

Experience: Experience in medical / technical programme management on sexual and reproductive health in developing country programmes

Reports to: Assistant Regional Director, Programme Management

Location: Tunis 

Contract: One year renewable, locally recruited
