Ensures the Cost Efficiency and supply capability in his/her area of responsibility.
Guarantees the quality performance, the planned production outcomes and on time delivery. Organizes production planning at the company.
Guarantees timely preparation and implementation of the production plan.
Serves as operational contact point to the Business Units.
Prepares operational reports about the production progress.
Ensures introduction of quality standards.
Ensures even distribution of the production and the right utilization of the equipment and manufacturing resources.
Controls the development of production programs and schedules of the production output. Provides input and follows up for processes optimizations direct and indirect as well.
Leads the continuous improvement activities within his/her own area of the responsibility. Assumes responsibility for the following indicators (not complete): PCR, CAPEX, Efficiency, PPM (internal, official) and complaints (official and unofficial), non-quality costs, customer service rate, OEE, absenteeism, etc., with necessary countermeasures and escalation. (e.g. KOSU, KATA).
Identifies cost reduction potential in the production areas.
People Management of the area of responsibility (resource allocation, evaluation, leadership, monitoring).
Ensures the budget/costs planning, allocation, review and tracking under the consideration of the LEONI profitability.
Develops respective processes and KPIs.
Coordinates activities across departments and monitors results in order to achieve the defined objectives.
Encourages employees to come up with ideas for improving the activity and implementing them (promotes independence and self-confidence.).
Continuously empowers and motivates the team by showing attention for good performance.
Demonstrates appropriate and desirable behavior , serves as a role model.
Maintains discipline in a consistent manner (sets limits with consequences).
Ensures the exchange of information among team members and between the teams.
Enables cooperation within the department and between different departments.
Acts as ambassador of change (change agent).
Gives assistance and direction when necessary
Level of education : Mechanical or electrical engineering
Vocational training / functional, direction / degree: Leadership training
Further training / functional, direction / degree : Leadership training
Studies / branch of study / degree : Mechanical or electrical
Work experience : Minimum of 8 years experience in relevant Production Management role.
Languages : French, English, German is a plus
