We are recruiting for a multinational operating in the OIL&GAS sector 

Contract Engineer

Globbal Mission: To act as the main focal point for the coordination and administration of allContracts and interface with internal clients and third party contractors

Main Duties:

  • Draft, Coordinate and administer contracts to a standard company format in conjunction with the contracts department.
  • Ensure that each contracted requirement is executed in accordance with Company approved processes and statutory regulations.
  • Maintain excellent communications and provide a professional, courteous and effective point of contact for the team’s interfaces with customers, clients and contractors.
  • Assist in the competitive tendering or negotiation of contracts and supply agreements including the establishment of appropriate terms and conditions for the lower risk and/or value requirements whilst ensuring that the commercial and legal integrity of the company is maintained.
  • Ensure prompt and appropriate engagement with our partner  and that meetings are efficiently executed.
  • Operate to the highest standards of compliance and ethics ensuring company's code of business conduct is clearly understood by all contracting parties.
  • Ensure that all contracting activity is in full compliance with company requirements with respect to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality.
  • Promote commercial awareness with user groups to encourage and obtain early involvement in the procurement process.
  • Update and maintain the contract register so that the information is current at all times.
  • Issue asset specific information from the contracts register to account managers/contract sponsors on a monthly basis.
  • Collate and distribute KPI reports in support of Contracts & Procurement, ensure client specific KPI reports are issued in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all commitments are recorded in accordance with the relevant processes and that approved budgets are documented on the register.
  • Perform general administrative duties such as file maintenance, archiving and document scanning.
  • Support and train other team members as required. 

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Fluent in the French language and a good working knowledge of written technical French.
  • Previous contract drafting experience essential.
  • Ability to work towards a relevant qualification/training course
  • Good knowledge of suppliers within the gas and condensate industry preferable.
  • Knowledge of services, operations and engineering within the oil and gas industry an advantage.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel,
  • Well organized individual with the ability to plan ahead
  • Effective communicator at all levels and with external parties
  • Works on own initiative and as a team.
  • Willingness to learn and develop in the role.
  • Assertive and able to improve processes.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and be flexible.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
