Summary of the role

We are looking for a manager with solid technical and management skills and with a passion for quality and customer satisfaction. This person will lead our development support team in charge of developing tools and scripts to support customer requirements and the recovery of operational issues.

Good candidate will have possibility to evolve towards consultant role or to a more important technical and managment role.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Team management: lead and motivate, mentoring, people development, etc.
  • Manage team performance and meet assigned objectives: activity planning, monitoring, ensure quality of deliverables, meet customer satisfaction, etc.
  • Act as the technical referent for the team and ensure the team gains technical expertise in needed fields.
  • Interface with customer and act as first escalation point.
  • Overview the technical architecture, solutions and feasibility studies.
  • Validate technical solutions proposed by the team.
  • Ensure that processes and procedures are met.
  • Drive consolidation of tools and standardization of solutions for recovery phase during incident process.
  • Foster innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Support presales activities (contribute to presentations, response to RFP/RFI, etc).

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum Master or Engineering degree in Computer Science.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in similar position.
  • Experience in the IT Travel industry is a strong plus.
  • Expertise in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Expertise of Python and C/C++.
  • Other languages are a plus (Java, C#, etc).
  • Expertise of SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Knowledge of MongoDB is a strong plus.
  • Excellent analytical and decision making.
  • Good communication skills and good command of both French and English.
  • Customer and quality focus.
